Educents Magic School Bus Science Club

When it comes to my son’s education I always wanted him to refresh himself with new content or information. We keep reading about countries, landscapes, The tallest, The Biggest, naturally formed wonders, I  always wanted my son to step out of his regular routine of school to learn/try something different.I am also a huge fan of hands-on learning. We keep working on different crafts, getting our hands dirty on different projects and much more! One of our favorite experiments was making a Volcanoes erupt.I still remember my son’s expressions when we made the volcanoes erupt with simple ingredients we had at home…Priceless!.Needless to say, One of our favorite topics would always be “VOLCANOES”! The UnderSea Volcanic eruptions, Stories about “The City of Pompeii”, which got buried in volcanic ash after a huge eruption of  the Mt.Vesuvius  are too fascinating to not learn.

Have you learned about Volcanoes Yet?! What’s your Favorite Movie or Lesson that includes volcanoes? Let’s Talk about the amazing facts about the Volcanoes!

    • Most volcanoes happen on fault lines, or cracks in the Earth’s surface.
    • Most of the earth’s volcanoes are in the Pacific Ocean, in an area called the Ring of Fire.
    • The word “volcano” comes from Vulcan, the Roman god of fire.
    • Lava from volcanoes can reach temperatures of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
