South Asian Children's Content Festival

South Asian Children's Content Festival

South Asian Children’s Content Festival  is one of a kind event happening on  November 5th, 2016 . Children’s content with a South Asian theme whether its books, APPS,Videos games would be displayed.  Whether you are a parent looking for an opportunity to introduce traditions and culture to your kids or a creator who wants to network and reach out to a larger community,  you don’t want to miss this event.

There will be Book Vendors,Author Book Signing, Story Telling, Workshops for Adults, Crafts and Arts for kids and most important part Food and fun :)!

I am glad that Indianmomsconnect  is making an effort to bring everything together and providing an opportunity for  parents  as well as creators to interact. There is a facebook group  South Asian Children’s Content you could join to learn more.  I was blown away by the abundant resources available for parents to explore and introduce to their kids. Amazing Books , great  authors.  Based on what I read and saw in the group  I must say It’s a collaborative effort by parents for parents.

The book reviews on Indianmomsconnect is a great way for parents to pick and choose which books would be suitable for their kids.

There are story books Like Radhika’s Homework FairyThe Lal Badam TreeThe Boink Mystery . Then there are  books about festivals(Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga puja, EID and more) and parenting books. The books I mentioned were only a few from my quick glance. But there are tons of other amazing books which the kids could totally identify.

I have come across a game developed by  Mr. Kumar Sivalingam Started as an initiative to make Indian languages learning fun and interactive. As an initial step, he created a  word game in Tamil. The word game has 30 cards with 500+ words. It is a multiplayer or single player game. You could also spot some bookshops  like , exclusively for  Children content.

These are just a few of the many resources available.  I am pretty sure there will be  more to discover at that event.  You are more than welcome to join the group South Asian Children’s Content and see  more for yourself!
