Most of the times I make sure their sugar intake is well within limits. When it holiday time I let them splurge on sweet treats. With kids at home, you want to make something easy and quick. Sometimes I would like to give them a treat for being good and saving mom from major meltdowns. Of course the same can’t be guaranteed after they have had these treats. But it’s worth it.
Take some candy melts. I got these from Michaels stores. Place them in a deeper and smaller bowl not too wide not too shallow. This would allow you to directly dip the spoon into the bowl. Follow the directions on the package to melt the candies. Keep checking and stirring the melts to get the consistency right. I put these melts into the microwave for less than 30 seconds.Once done You could either dip in the spoons directly or take some out of the bowl and pour into the spoons.
Add in some sprinkles. Since Halloween was approaching I thought, I would add in some Halloween spirit to these spoons.You would totally customize these for any occasion. Christmas, Birthdays, Baby Showers you name it!
Put them on the Parchment paper and let them dry for some time. If you want the candy treats to dry up quickly, you could place them in the freezer for few mins. Decorate as you wish. Some ideas would be adding in MM’s, Skittles and also some other fun sprinkles!
